Our Big Announcement

Hey Friends! We have such exciting news to share with you. We are happy to announce that we have a little one coming this December! The joy we feel is indescribable and we can’t wait to be parents. Being photographers and booking weddings sometimes more than a year in advance, we realized that it would be difficult to plan the perfect timing for a baby to come in the midst of it all…but we gave our concern over to The Lord and He placed this precious baby to come right when we have a nice break in our wedding schedule! We certainly couldn’t have planned it better if we would have tried and while they say “there is never a good time to have a baby,” we believe that with God being in control of the story of our lives, there is. And you won’t believe what the due date is 😉

So…

When are you due?

Our official due date is December 28th, 2017. And if you know us well, then you know that date is significant to us! Bence proposed to me on December 28th, 2011…we got married on December 28th, 2012…and now our first child is due on our 5th anniversary, December 28th, 2017. We were blown away when we found out the due date and think it is really special! We know the baby will come in his/her own time, but how funny would it be if it truly was on the due date! I was actually born on my due date, so it’s totally possible! 😉

How far along are you?

I am right around 22 weeks and feeling great! I feel so blessed with how smoothly the pregnancy has gone by and have really enjoyed the experience so far!

Are you having a boy or a girl?

We are thrilled to announce that we are having a son! My mom had the idea for us to announce the gender in a special way so Bence and I secretly ordered some cupcakes from her favorite bakery, GiGi’s Cupcakes, and had them fill the middle with blue icing. My parents had to bite into the cupcake to find out the gender and it was such a fun way to reveal the surprise!

Do you have a name picked out yet?

We have a few in mind but it’s quite a big decision to pick someone’s name that they will have for the rest of their life! I probably won’t be 100% sure until he gets here and I see his precious little face, but we do have a favorite name in particular that i’m getting attached to…so we’ll see!

Are you still going to shoot weddings?

Absolutely! I decided a while ago that I wanted to work from home so that I could stay home with my children, I just didn’t know what it was going to look like at the time. I feel very blessed that I not only get to work with my husband and do what I love, but that I get to be my own boss and choose my hours. We have already started booking weddings for next spring, summer, and fall and we are thrilled to continue running this business with a little office buddy with us 😉

 

All of our fall and winter brides have been so sweet and understanding as we shared our news with them. We are so thankful for all of our wonderful clients! I also want to thank my Mom who took these sweet announcement photos for Bence and I, I think she did a great job!

This is such an exciting time for us. I have dreamed of having children since I was a child myself and feel so blessed that it’s actually happening! The timing could not be more perfect and God is leading us to new heights of trust in Him as we plan and prepare to bring this precious little one into the world. It’s an honor to be trusted with something so special as a child and we can’t wait to dive into this new adventure together.
