As I reflect back on this year, I have realized just how much I have learned and how my photography has grown so much! I love that I am still learning and growing and I honestly hope that never stops. I love photography, I love my craft, and I enjoy the little victories (as I call them) when it comes to new strategies, lighting techniques, lighting quality and things like that 🙂 One of the things that I truly believe has helped me grow as a photographer is having the opportunity to second shoot with other photographers. I love being able to observe them, learn how they do things, and especially when it’s with Alex and Emilee Abraham from The Abrahams Photography. They are really talented, and so great with their clients. They have become really great friends of ours and while I love talking with them about photography, I love getting to watch them in the action!
Alex and Emilee asked if I would come along as a second shooter with them to Courtney and CJ’s wedding which was to be held in Lagrange. Of course I said yes and the dialoging began. They told me that the venue was a beautiful historic building in Downtown Lagrange and I was intrigued. But when I arrived to the Del’avant on their wedding day I was truly amazed. The patio space upstairs, the exposed brick in the ceremony and reception room, the floor to ceiling windows…just breathtaking. It was such an honor to be there to help capture Courtney and CJ’s day and I wish them all the best as they start their new life together as one…as husband and wife!

Thank you Alex and Emilee for including me on this amazing day! You two are just too cute 😉
