I (Sharayah) have known Philip for a long time; our families were great friends growing up and bonded over things like Napoleon Dynamite and other humorous antics that kept us rolling in stitches every time our families were together. I had the privilege of meeting Mindy a few years ago and she is a pure sweetheart, right to her core. They have such a sweet relationship and I have always thought that these two made a great pair 🙂 When I saw on Facebook that Philip had popped the question I was so excited for them; when they asked Bence and I if we would be their wedding photographers I was ecstatic!
I literally couldn’t wait for their engagement session, we planned and talked, and planned some more. When the forecast showed us a high chance of rain on the day we had scheduled the shoot plans changed and we quickly started to find a location that could work either indoors or with a covered porch of some kind. After some searching Mindy texted me about this idea she had to do the shoot at Indian Springs State Park, in Flovilla, Ga. I had never heard of it before but after a quick search (google images to the rescue!) I agreed that this would be a perfect spot for their photos; it has a beautiful covered pavilion, gorgeous grounds, just a breathtaking location really.
We met up with Mindy and Philip and started walking around the grounds together, and guess what…not one rain cloud was in sight, nor one drop of rain. It was perfect! We had such a fun time with these two, at one point, they had me laughing so hard I couldn’t even hold my camera straight! I don’t even know or remember what was so funny, but what I do know is how sweet these two are together, how desperately in love with each other they are, and how excited they are to get married!
Mindy and Philip thank you for giving us the honor of being your wedding photographers! We cannot wait for your wedding this coming January, it’s going to be spectacular! xoxo
