The more weddings that I have the opportunity to photograph, the more I fall in love with it. I have learned so much and I hope that I never stop learning more about this beautiful profession. One thing that I am currently learning and experiencing is just how wonderful having a community of other photographers around me is. It is so wonderful having others so learn and grow with, talk about growing pains with, and encourage each other when we are having a discouraging day. That is exactly what Emilee and Alex Abraham have become for us. I worked with Emilee at ChickFilA about 6 years ago, but when I moved to VA to go to Liberty University, we fell out of touch….only to be reunited at a mutual friends wedding! I was the photographer, and they were the videographers! It was so wonderful to work with Emilee again, now only as wedding vendors instead of taking orders behind the counter! Only God 🙂 We worked so well together that day that Emilee and Alex asked if I would be their second shooter at an upcoming wedding! I was thrilled, I jumped right in. Emilee and Alex offer both photographer and videography services for their clients, so sometimes they need an extra hand and I feel so honored that they ask me to help out sometimes. I can’t wait to work with them again at another wedding a few weeks from now!
When I was asked to help out at this wedding, I had never met Courtney or Logan before, but when I met them at the rehearsal I could see right away just how wonderful and special they are. Logan’s contagious smile and funny sense of humor is excellently balanced with Courtney’s sweet spirit and her attention to detail and to others around her. These two make a perfect match and I was honored to be a part of their special day. Even though they didn’t know me, they made me feel so welcome and just as much a part of their group as someone they had known for a long time. Their wedding was so filled with love, sentimental details, tears of joy, and worship to The Lord…I will never forget it. Logan and Courtney, thank you for welcoming me in and allowing me the honor of capturing special moments of your day!
