The Nishizaki’s: My family

When you put 11 people (and one cute little doggie) in a small space, sharing one bathroom, for more than 72 hours, you can really get to know each other. Luckily for me, I have been blessed with one amazing family. We actually enjoy all going up to the cabin together to share special memories, snowmobile rides, snowball fights, and sledding. It has become a really fun tradition to go to the cabin to celebrate New Years together. This event usually entails sharing our hearts, our hopes and dreams for the year to come, our struggles and blessings from the past year, being completely open and honest with one another, the shedding of tears, and the love and comforting of one another that follows.

In this post I wrote about our time there together, and shared a peak into what life looked like for all of us while we were there. But what was also fun, is that we all took some time to do some photo sessions while we were at the cabin (check out the photos I took of my sweet parents here!) And today I am sharing photos of my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins Danny and Katie!! We did all of the photoshoots (for 11 people) within about a 2 hour time slot….I still haven’t figured out how all of us happened to get ready for these photos with only one bathroom!

Regardless, we had a blast! Also, I have to brag on my Aunt Suzanne for a minute. She is a photographers dream! Why is that? Because she puts a high value on photography, and is the most diligent person I know when it comes to printing and using the photos I take for her and her family! Every time we visit, she has the latest photos nicely framed and hung on her walls. As a photographer, I am a huge advocate for getting your photos off of the computer and on your walls or in an album! So thank you, Aunt Suzanne 🙂
